A nova lei não afetará contratos firmados antes de sua vigência, mas será aplicada imediatamente aos novos contratos. Ela promove transparência e clareza nas relações jurídicas, facilitando a compreensão dos aspectos técnicos do seguro. A previdência complementar, já regulada pela Lei Complementar nº 109/2001, não será abrangida pela nova legislação. O livro visa facilitar o entendimento da nova lei, esclarecer dúvidas e disseminar conhecimento jurídico sobre contratos de seguro.
