The original Oxford-blue cloth is in excellent shape, with corners sharp and gilt lettering and insignia particularly bright on the spine. The sturdy, price-clipped dustjacket has a lightly sunned spine and one tiny tear. Interior leaves are bright, crisp, and clean, though the endpapers show some offsetting from the dustjacket flaps and there is slight wrinkling to the front flyleaf and final page of text, apparently from publishing. One tear on page 119 is closed archivally.
