Tanto la funesta experiencia con los héroes totalitarios como el hecho de que el héroe, por definición, cuestiona el principio más sagrado de cualquier democracia, a saber: el principio de la igualdad, pueden explicar estas reticencias de analizar un fenómeno tan relevante no solo en la historia sino también en la política actual.
