La condición antropológica que estos estudios observan en el lenguaje modificó la concepción del habla como… un mecanismo de transmisión del pensamiento primando una nueva concepción que aboga más por una concepción social del lenguaje. La primera consecuencia de este nuevo paradigma es ontológica: el significado del lenguaje es su uso y depende del contexto de emisión en el que está situado el hablante. Esta nueva concepción concibe el contenido de las proferencias como dependiente de un conjunto extensional de elementos que permiten no sólo la comunicación entre los hablantes sino también su comprensión. Llegamos así a una consecuencia epistémica: el significado del lenguaje tiene un carácter externista dependiente de elementos situados fuera de los hablantes. Teniendo presente las dos anteriores tesis, este trabajo defiende esta última tesis de fondo: la función primordial del lenguaje no es la comunicación sino integrar a los hablantes de un lenguaje en las convenciones lingüísticas que permiten la transmisión del significado. 116 pp. Spanisch.
