First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Logging by Ralph Clement Bryant Boston MA Stanhope Press 1913 Early and important forestry text by one of the pioneers in American logging education, prepared for use in forestry schools during the formative years of the discipline. This work represents one of the earliest comprehensive textbooks on logging practices, covering techniques, equipment, and operational methods, and is illustrated throughout with numerous photographs and tables. Condition A very clean, well preserved copy. The only notable flaw is partial wear to the cloth along a portion of the front edge of the spine and light rubbing on the rear cover near the spine. Otherwise, the binding remains sound. Internally, the book is exceptionally crisp and attractive pages are clean with no ownership stamps markings or writing. The photographic plates and tables are particularly well preserved and visually striking. A desirable early forestry title increasingly uncommon in such nice condition.
