First Edition
Green Cloth. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st ed. vi+175+4 (pub.list); the main fault with this is that on both half-title and t.p. much of the title has been oddly erased - thought it was a printing error but the areas in question do feel very slightly rough to the touch and this becomes visible at an angle to light - on t.p. much of word Hypnotism and part of 'the study of' is gone, on half-title it is all substantiallt damaged with loss of about a third of text, why or how this happened is a mystery to me, otherwise it is internally clean, tight & unmarked, the covers have some few very tiny white flecks but the boards are otherwise quite bright, the spinehas end-rubbing and small nick top back joint. Generally concerned with serious medical use of hypnosis in suggestion therapy etc. Note: quoted shipping rates are calculated for 500-700 gram net weight, cost will be modified up or down as appropriate outside this range. Size: 12.5 Cm x 19 .00 Cm.

Condition: Hervorragend. Zustand: Hervorragend | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | This little book is intended mainly for those who are unacquainted with hypnotism, and aims at providing the reader with sufficient knowledge, both theoretical and practical, to enable him to make use of suggestion in suitable cases. The fact that the whole of the first edition was sold within a short time of publication encourages me to hope that it fulfilled its aim; and I trust that the present edition, which is published in response to numerous requests, may meet with an equally kind reception. The phenomena of hypnosis are described in some detail, as I believe that a knowledge of them is essential to the practitioner who uses hypnotism, and though the various theories cannot be criticized in the space at my disposal, I have tried to bring before the reader the chief problems presented by the subject.
