Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents an analysis of early 19th-century policies and debates surrounding the neutral trade of America with European colonies against the backdrop of war. The author examines the historical and legal context of these conflicts, with a specific focus on the Orders in Council passed by the British government that sparked controversy. The book explores the complex motives and interests of the different parties involved, including the British, Americans, and French, and assesses the impact of these policies on the broader course of the war. The author argues that the British government's attempts to enforce the rule of the war of 1756 ultimately proved to be ill-conceived and counterproductive, and that they failed to take into account the changing dynamics of global trade and the growing importance of neutral powers. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
