The problem with this is gyroscopes are so darn useful, practical tools & methods accessible to persons not trained to be pure mathematicians are needed. Illustrated with B&W photos and line drawings. The goal of this book is to provide those methods and tools. Preface, ToC, Notation definitions, Problems Solved in Detail, Exercises for the Reader, and Index. Erratum sheets were cut apart and taped into book where errors occur in text. xiv + 277. Hardcover has burgandy cloth boards with gold lettering on spine, but no DJ. Book has been modified not to appear ex public library. End-pages glued together, inked hash marks on page-edges to hide ink stamps, and scar on spine from removal of filing label. Decimal filing notation hand-written at top of ToC, library's embossed imprint on title page, and occasional margin notes in text. Otherwise, interior is tight, clean and original text is clearly presented without modification. Corners are square and shows little shelf-wear. Copyright 1932. 1932 on title page indicates this copy from 1932 printing, 1st assumed. Printed in U.S.A. No ISBN, LCCN nor MSR.
