Illustrated with many historical photos, drawings, and paintings (all reproduced in black and white). Text and images are unmarked; pages are bright, though the page edges are age toned. Covers are shelf rubbed and edge worn, especially around the corners and along the fold of the spine. The paper is starting to split at the head and base of the spine. Stapled binding is still sturdy.

First edition, slipcased softcover, special edition limited to 26 lettered copies printed on blue Fabriano paper, and signed by Williams and Windham on the limitation page (this is copy N). The book has a slight lean to the binding, thin reading creases to the spine, very light bumps to the spine ends and corners, and a touch of rubbing to the covers. Overall, a solid, tight and bright, Very Good+ copy in a like dust jacket, which has mild sunning at the spine ends, and some slight wear to the spine ends and corners. Wrapped in an acetate jacket that was trimmed short. Housed in a Very Good cloth slipcase, which is rubbed, and has some faint areas of sunning and smudging.
