Es wurde von dem Maler und Grafiker Wilhelm Eckstein (Lauterbach 1863 - 1936 Düsseldorf) für den Berliner Nationalökonomen Johannes Feig (1873 - 1936), einem deutschen Nationalökonom, Sozialpolitiker und späteren Ministerialdirigenten im Reichsarbeitsministerium, gestaltet. Feig wurde von den Nazis 1935 aus rassischen Gründen vorzeitig pensioniert. - Eckstein wird der berühmten Düsseldorfer Malerschule zugerechnet (vgl. wikipedia u.
