An example of the popularity of educational games in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, this map is a game board for a tour of the Europe. It starts in Harwich, England, and 102 moves later ends in London, hopscotching around Europe. Does not include game pieces or instructions. Stained and discolored (one area shows a water stain and another an offset stain from a dealer's catalog description that had been laid in slipcase) and corners rubbed and bumped. Various dealer marks and pricing in pencil on verso of map. Title on Slipcase in gilt: Wallis's Geographical Game Europe. McIntyre sculpsit. (illustrator).
