In the last two decades major reforms have been addressed to the broad Italian Public Sector, requiring the introduction of New Public Management-inspired ideas and tools, thus calling for further research in this field. The convergence of EU Countries towards the Euro deadline of December 31,2013 has also accelerated the managerial transformation process, as well as the consequent deployment in the Public Sector of techniques and practices widely adopted in the private sector. This refereed co-authored volume firstly introduces researchers, students and professionals into the characteristics of stakeholder and governance structures in public entities, and then guides them into different areas and issues of public sector organizations. Thus, the book seeks to provide a portrayal of the main challenges affecting different areas of Public Sector in Italy in a longitudinal manner. Accordingly, the volume initially analyzes some of the issues faced by the State bureaucratic apparatus and Regional governments, and it later provides examinations on Local Governments, Provinces, Public Transports, Healthcare and Universities. Questa biografia, curata dal professor Antonio Venditti, è nata dalle "Note biografiche" presenti nei Cataloghi delle esposizioni dell'artista Agostino De Romanis. Un percorso completo, articolato e pieno di suggestioni ed emozioni attraverso la vita di un uomo che ha scelto il difficile mestiere dell'arte, da lui stessa definita come un viaggio solitario nel mondo frutto di una ricerca autonoma. Il volume riporta la narrazione di tutte le significative fasi artistiche intrecciate con quelle della sua vita. Il libro esplora il legame tra arte e umanità, con una prima parte che racconta la nascita dell'amicizia tra il pittore e l'autore, le fasi biografiche dell'artista, le interviste e il contesto familiare. Nella seconda parte, invece, vengono passate in rassegna le opere, dalle celebri tavole della "Gerusalemme liberata" fino alle molteplici mostre e ai tanti riconoscimenti ottenuti. Agostino De Romanis (1947-2025) è stato uno tra i principali esponenti della "pittura colta", movimento fondato da Italo Mussa nel 1980. Molte sue opere sono parte di alcuni musei internazionali tra cui il Gedung Arsip National di Giacarta, il Museo Rudana di Bali e San Salvatore in Lauro di Roma. Scenografo e pittore, negli anni Settanta ha iniziato la sua attività di professore di arte e si è dedicato alla realizzazione di una serie di dipinti poi inclusi nella corrente della Nuova figurazione. Apprezzato a livello nazionale e internazionale, il critico d'arte Vittorio Sgarbi lo ha definito "pittore dell'Animismo". Antonio Venditti, nato a Velletri (RM) alla "Sapienza" Università di Roma, si è laureato in Lettere e in Pedagogia. Docente dal 1962, dal 1975 è stato preside per oltre un trentennio. Ha conosciuto l'artista nel 1970 e subito si è sviluppata tra di loro una collaborazione artistica-letteraria, durevole nel tempo.
