Condition: Fair. 1875. Twenty-Fourth Edition. 239 pages. No dust jacket. Red embossed paper-covered boards with gilt titles to front. Please note: appears complete but one page detached. Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Sporadic heavy thumbing. Several pages badly miscut but text remains… intact. Occasional small ink stains to margins. Notable gutter cracking: p217 detached but present; other pages towards rear also loosening. Boards have heavy edge wear, with intense bumping and peeling to corners, while spine ends are very crushed and worn with loss to foot of spine. Joints worn too with slight splits. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Gilt is slightly dulled. Large ink stains to rear. A slight forward lean.
