A new genus and new species of land molluscs is described from Tis Isat Falls, on the Blue Nile, and its systematic position is discussed. Outer aspect and general anatomy are very much like those of Gymnarion, as well as the absence of coecum and flagellum on the male genital duct. The main distinctive features are the presence of chitinous spines inside the penis and a complicated pouch on the duct of the spermatheca.
