Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book posits a natural law governing the production of consumer goods. This law, the author argues, has been neglected and mankind suffers for it. The author proposes a new type of money, based on this natural law. This new monetary system would be free from debt, taxation, and interest on loans, and would pay all expenses of government with cold, hard cash. The author posits that such a monetary system would, within a decade, lead to a society without poverty, filled instead with happiness, increased lifespans, and greater emphasis on intellectual pursuits. Instead of economic strife, this monetary system would usher in an era of intellectual and spiritual growth, fostering individual liberty and a greater understanding of the divine. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - ''An Essay On Production, Money And Government: In Which The Principle Of A Natural Law Is Advanced And Explained'' is a book written by William Alexander Thomson and published in 1863. The book explores the relationship between production, money, and government, and argues that there is a natural law governing these relationships. Thomson's argument is based on the idea that production is the foundation of all economic activity, and that money and government exist to facilitate and regulate this activity. He argues that the natural law governing these relationships is based on the principle of justice, and that any interference with this law by governments or other institutions will lead to economic inefficiency and social injustice. The book is written in a clear and accessible style, and is aimed at a general audience interested in economics and political philosophy. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in understanding the fundamental principles of economic theory and their relationship to government policy. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.

Neatly rebacked with original boards retained, bound in sheet with handwritten contents that are now inaccurate (this volume once contained thirteen pamphlets, some on this list are absent). Brown, author of Marriage Affinity Question. 1868 Half-Leather. 63, 15, 10, 16, 15, 16, 47 pp. A collection of short works published 1868-71, mostly dedicated to legislation surrounding marriage. The restriction referenced to marrying the sister of one's deceased wife was reversed in 1907 in the United Kingdom, after prolonged conflict in the courts beginning in the 1840s. During this time several novels, including William Clark Russell's anonymously published The Deceased Wife's Sister, treated the topic. It is fleetingly referenced in Tess of the d'Urbervilles as well.
