Andrew Gowans Dunlop, was in some ways a living history of American auto racing from Model T dirt track cars to rear engine Offenhausers. Born in Montrose, Scotland on October 6, 1911, Andy spent his entire life in racing (except for two years in the Navy 1944-1946) until ill health forced him to retire in 1974.
