Die Beiträge zu CSCW kommen aus verschiedenen Disziplinen, wobei zur Zeit der Schwerpunkt im Bereich der Informatik liegt. Die Probleme der Anwendung und des Einsatzes von CSCW-Systemen in Orga nisationen werden aber dabei häufig nur am Rande berücksichtigt. Vor diesem Hintergrund entwickelt der Autor aus dem Blickwinkel der betriebswirt schaftlich orientierten Wirtschaftsinfonnatik ein Konzept für ein Koordinationssystern zur Unterstützung arbeitsteiliger Prozesse der Büroarbeit. In den einleitenden Kapiteln werden zunächst die Koordination arbeitsteiliger Büroarbeit und die Anforderungen an ein KooJ;dinationssystem untersucht.
