Bernhard Strauss kritisiert ebenfalls die rigorosen Veranderungen in der Ausbildung, die nicht auf wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen basieren. Dirk Revenstorf hinterfragt das wissenschaftliche Verfahren zur Anerkennung von Psychotherapie-Verfahren, das stark vom RCT-Paradigma gepragt ist. Jurgen Kriz bietet eine tiefgehende Analyse der Evidenzbasierung. Sulz betont, dass Psychotherapie mehr ist als nur Wissenschaft. Der zweite Teil behandelt bildungs- und gesundheitspolitische Aspekte und beleuchtet wichtige Entscheidungen zur Reform des Psychotherapeutengesetzes. Die geplante Reform konnte die Abschaffung des gesetzlich geschutzten Berufs der Kinder- und JugendlichenpsychotherapeutInnen zur Folge haben und ignoriert, dass Psychotherapie nicht wie Medizin im Grundstudium gelehrt werden kann.
