Steffen Fliegel, einer der Gutachter, warnt vor ubertriebenen Reformen, die von den Empfehlungen abweichen. Bernhard Strauss kritisiert ebenfalls die rigorosen Veranderungen in der Ausbildung, die nicht auf wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen basieren. Dirk Revenstorf hinterfragt das wissenschaftliche Verfahren zur Anerkennung von Psychotherapie-Verfahren, das stark vom RCT-Paradigma gepragt ist. Jurgen Kriz bietet eine tiefgehende Analyse der Evidenzbasierung. Sulz betont, dass Psychotherapie mehr ist als nur Wissenschaft. Der zweite Teil behandelt bildungs- und gesundheitspolitische Aspekte und beleuchtet wichtige Entscheidungen zur Reform des Psychotherapeutengesetzes. Die geplante Reform konnte die Abschaffung des gesetzlich geschutzten Berufs der Kinder- und JugendlichenpsychotherapeutInnen zur Folge haben und ignoriert, dass Psychotherapie nicht wie Medizin im Grundstudium gelehrt werden kann. Das Buch bietet spannende.
