Original-Flugschrift der SPD zur Reichstagswahl 1920. Eingangs heißt es zur Verortung: "Die Weltgeschichte ist an einem Wendepunkt angelangt! Nach den furchtba…ren Leiden der werktätigen Menschheit und zumal des deutschen schaffenden Volkes, nach dem Blutfest des Krieges, das der internationale Kapitalismus angerichtet hat, und nach den ungeheuren Erschütterungen und Erlebnissen der letzten Jahre muß eine neue Lebensordnung der Menschlichkeit und der Menschenliebe sich gestalten." Hierfür steht die SPD ein und zeigt ihre Leistungen der jüngsten Nachkriegszeit auf (Steuerwesen, Schulwesen, Demokratie). Später verortet sich die SPD auch gegenüber den anderen Parteien wenn es heißt: "Deutschnationale und Deutsche Volkspartei wollen Vorrechte der Besitzenden, weiter nichts. Deutschdemokraten und Zentrum haben sich seit der Revolution auf den Boden der Demokratie gestellt, aber sie stützen den Kapitalismus und sind Gegner des Sozialismus. Kommunisten und Unabhängige geben an, den Sozialismus am besten anzustreben, aber sie wollen die Demokratie, das gleiche Recht aller, beseitigen und dafür die 'Diktatur des Proletariats' aufrichten, die jedoch nie eine Diktatur des Proletariats sein würde, sondern nur eine Gewaltherrschaft weniger Personen." Dann zeigt die SPD ihr eigenes Selbstverständnis um 1920 auf: "Nein, das Höchste ist Sozialismus und Demokratie als unzertrennbare Einheit, wie es die Sozialdemokratie anstrebt." Geworben wurde hier um Stimmen für die Liste Otto Stolten, ein Hamburger Politiker. Das Flugblatt schließt mit dem Aufruf "Helft alle, daß der Sozialismus bald seinen Sonnenglanz breite über die von Massenmord geschändete Erde."
