In some cases, the biologist or psychologist i…s able to examine carefully elements that can only be imprecise for a wild animal: physiology, longevity, habits, etc. In other situations the zoo observer can watch the interplay between environment and animal and see the various aberrations that may emerge when environment has been changed.
