Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Issue 1 one of 150 copies (of 200), issue 2 one of 50 numbered copies signed by the contributors (Eden, Bernas, Hiller, Shepherd (his sticker detached but present), and Bonvin) (of 260), issues 3-4 each one of 210 copies (of 260), issues 5/6 and 7 without statements of limitation. 4…to. Stab-stapled into wrappers. Unpaginated (42pp.-114pp.). A complete set of this magazine of art and writing (1974-1977), which was published co-operatively by the contributing editors. Each editor was allocated an equal space every other issue; issues 1-4 contained their work by rota, so that each contributor appeared twice. For double issue 5/6, each editor invited either one or two guests to share his/her space equally, and for the final issue (as it turned out) the editors agreed that any of them may invite a guest to fill his/her space. Issue 1 was edited anonymously, but (according to these details) involved the original eleven contributing editors. Each issue uses a different pattern of actual wallpaper for its wrappers, with no two copies likely to be identical. Each copy of issue 2 is also made unique by Hiller's piece 'Transformation', 'a distribution and relocation of the material elements' used in her artwork 'Transformer'. Consisting of 260 A4 tissue paper segments bound into the magazine, i.e. five cut from each of the fifty-two sections of 'Transformer', the work 'should be understood to be located in from one to 260 sites simultaneously'. Toren's work 'Print Off Print' in issue 1 also plays with the material format, combining printed sheets with sticky tape apparently for an offsetting effect; it is not obvious how the piece would have looked originally, which perhaps is a sign of its success. Other contributors include Carolee Schneemann, David Medalla, Allen Fisher, Paul Buck, Lynne Tillman, Fiona Templeton, Annabel Nicolson, and Anthony Barnett. Extremely rare as a complete set; the first and final issues are notably scarce, but accounts vary as to why this is. It has been suggested that issue 7 was organised by Howell (who was the magazine's main figure) without the knowledge of people usually involved, or alternatively that the co-operative had merely become stretched geographically. Given that two of the usual contributing editors are in it, the latter theory seems more likely, although one could combine the theories by saying simply that the project was disbanding. With regard to issue 1, it has been suggested that Howell distributed the issue very quickly, although it should be noted in the first place that there were fewer copies than of subsequent issues. There was also an elusive 'Wallpaper' cassette available separately, not present here. A slip has been affixed to the contents page of issue 5/6 to include Howell's contribution, and a slip has been affixed to the contribution itself to adjust the poem's title (from 'Depressed Poem' to 'Depression Poem'). A Very Good set, with the usual rubbing and light wear to the wrappers, those of the double issue inevitably slightly tired, having taken a few attempts to staple, the staples rusty on a couple of issues, and with some spotting and soiling to the page edges (not hampering the contents, although staining comes close to 'Transformation'). The strips of tape in 'Print Off Print' have adhered the facing pages to each other, which is not unique to this copy and, as above, the outcome might be a fair one. Signed by Editors.

Contact seller5-star sellerSaddle-stitched in wallpaper wrappers. The fourth issue of the British- and New York-based little magazine of poetry, art, and writing, readily identifiable by the wallpaper used as wraps for each issue and published collectively by the editors between 1974 and 1977 across seven issues (though there were plans for 10), with no.…5/6 published as a double-issue. Editorial duties shifted across issues, with the first four issues containing "the work of each editor by rota, so that the work of every editor has appeared twice in these four issues" (Wallpaper, nos. 5/6). Contributors include Susan Bonvin, Bill Shepherd, Richard Quarrell, David Coxhead, and Andrew Eden. This is from an edition of 260 copies, of which 50 are signed by the contributors. This is from the regular edition. Very good plus, with wallpaper wrappers showing shelf wear and edge wear, especially at the corners and along the spine. The interior remains clean.

Contact seller5-star sellerSaddle-stitched in wallpaper wrappers. The fifth and six issues, published as a double issue, of the British- and New York-based little magazine of poetry, art, and writing, readily identifiable by the wallpaper used as wraps for each issue. Published collectively by the editors between 1974 and 1977 across seven issues (though…there were plans for 10). Editorial duties shifted across issues with the first four issues containing an equal number of works by the editors; in this double issue, per the masthead, "each editor has invited either one or two guests to share his/her [the editors'] space equally." Though not stated as such, this copy is from the library of contributor Fiona Templeton. Contributors include Richard Bernas, Susan Bonvin, Paul Buck, D.L. Busenburg, David Coxhead, Daniel Dahl, Andrew Eden, Allen Fisher, Harley Gaber, June Green, Susan Hiller, Carla Liss, Anthony McCall, Stephen Montague, Annabel Nicolson, Richard Quarrell, Phillipa Rogers, Carolee Schneeman [sic], John Sharkey, Richard Shone, Fiona Templeton, The Ting, Lynne Tillman, Amikam Toren, John Welch, and Anthony Howell (Howell's name has been tipped on at the end of the list, though he appears alphabetically within the magazine; the title of his poem has been tipped onto the title page of his work, as well). This is from an unstated edition size. Very good, with wallpaper wrappers showing shelf wear and edge wear. There is a closed, 1/2 in. tear at the top of the spine and a bump at the bottom. The interior remains clean.
