Datelined October 13, 1893 in Sacramento, California. 8 1/4" x 7." Paper is fragile. Billhead is clean and intact overall but has moderate age toning and browning, horizontal and vert…ical fold lines, a small puncture at center (not affecting text), a few small chips along edges (not affecting text), and tape repair on back which had resulted in some glue residue bleeding onto front (tape is holding together a split measuring 1" from left side on front which, in turn, has a 1" closed tear extending downward; split and closed tear mostly limited to margins). A Good copy. An original billhead from John D. Shearer & Son of Sacramento, California to Kent & Sons. Kent & Sons bought four line items comprising goods and services rendered. Among the items are "Filling and laying Stone-Walk" and "2 Cast Iron Grates." The printed header reads, "To John D. Shearer & Son, Dr., Contractors for Artificial Stone-Walks and Concrete Foundations, Walls, Engine Beds, Etc., Etc.".
