Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The objective of the study was to develop smotically driven oral drug delivery system of Aceclofenac, to be taken twice daily. It is also objective of present study to evaluate developed osmotic pump. Sodium chloride & sodium bicarbonate were used as an osmogent. The tablets were coated with cellulose acetate as the semipermeable membrane containing castor oil as a plasticizer and microporous membrane was developed by using polyethylene glycol as a plasticizer and pore forming agent. The emipermiable membrane formed by using cellulose acetate as a polymer and castor oil as a plasticizer, allows the passage of water and is selective in nature, which is essential for the zero-order release of drug. The membrane formed by using polyethylene glycol as a plasticizer cannot act as a semipermiable while it behaves as a microporous membrane, which cannot deliver drug not at zero-order. The release rate of drug from microporous membrane is at higher rate than as comparative to semipermiable membrane. It can be conclude from the present study and the results obtained that the osmotic pump for release of Aceclofenac can be developed as a twice a day dosage form.( B.D.) Zero-order release rat 84 pp. Englisch.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Mucoadhesive systems are those which bind to gastric epithelial cell surface or mucin and serve as a potential means of extending GRT of drug delivery system in the stomach by increasing the duration of contact of drug with the biological membrane. Mucoadhesive microspheres include microparticles and microcapsules (having a core of the drug) of 1-1000nm in diameter and consisting either entirely of a mucoadhesive polymer or having an outer coating of it,respectively. All duodenal ulcers and most gastric ulcers caused by H.Pylori acid inhibition with antibiotic treatment is highly effective in eradication of H. Pylori. Approximately 85-100% of all duodenal ulcers, 70-90% of all gastric ulcers are associated with H.Pylori infection in the stomach. The combination of antibiotics ie dual therapy or triple therapy is preferred for treatment of H.Pylori infection .It is proved that Clarithromycin and Omeprazole resided in the stomach for a longer period of time.,when they are administered in the form of Mucoadhesive nanoparticles than when administered as uspension. The plugging and sealing effect of Mucoadhesive nanoparticles could also impart superior targetability and protect the drug.
