Idea di fondo è cercare di inquadrare - seppure a grandi linee - il complesso statuario dei Bronzi Dorati nella cultura artistica romana della nostra regione. Il gruppo equestre è così stato affiancato da oltre 30 opere, tutte di grande rilievo, rinvenute nella provincia pesarese. Una serie di capolavori, datati fra il I sec. a.C. e il II d.C., provenienti da collezioni e musei di Marche, Toscana, Emilia Romagna, Umbria e Città del Vaticano. Fra le opere in bronzo da ricordare il celebre Idolino di Pesaro (una finissima statua di adolescente, probabile arredo di una dimora signorile di età romana, rinvenuta a Pesaro nel XVI secolo ed universalmente conosciuta tra gli storici dell'arte classica come l'Idolino per antonomasia) entrato a far parte nel 1630 nelle Collezioni Medicee di Firenze che, dopo quasi 400 anni, torna per la prima volta nelle Marche. Dallo stesso luogo di ritrovamento (Casa Barignani), proviene un altro reperto bronzeo, sicuramente meno conosciuto ma altrettanto interessante, ossia l'Heros-Hypnos probabilmente risalente alla metà del II sec. d.C.Fra i marmi citiamo la Dea Fortuna di Fano, eponima della città, databile alla prima età imperiale, il ritratto di Marco Antonio, rinvenuto nella vicina Fossombrone e conservato nel Museo Archeologico di Bologna, un busto femminile e una statua maschile togata provenienti dai Musei Vaticani, collocati in modo da permettere un raffronto ravvicinato con le statue dei "Bronzi Dorati". L'evento rappresenta inoltre l'occasione per esporre al pubblico il fregio architettonico del I-II secolo d.C., raffigurante una scena mitologica di caccia, forse proveniente dall'antica Pisaurum o da territori limitrofi, recentemente acquistato dall'Amministrazione Provinciale di Pesaro e Urbino.
