Masters, a schoolmaster, began printing at High House in Shaftesbury High Street in 1924, purely for pleasure, his wife Beatrice assisted him with some of the typesetting. The press moved to Westbury-on-Trym, near Bristol in 1937 and production came to an end when James Masters died at the age of 66 on the 22nd June, 1943. Eleanor Farjeon Rex Whistler and Claire Leighton were amongst those published. This is 8pp limited to 500 copies. The 28th publication of the press. Includes signed letter from Masters. Book.
