Raúl Russo was born in Buenos Aires on December 29, 1912. He studied at the National School of Fine Arts, graduating in 1931. In 1932 he took courses at the School of Fine Arts "Ernesto de la Cárcova"…, where he is a student of painting Emilio Centurión and mural painting and engraving by Alfredo Guido.
