Das von de Rossi verlegte Buch vereint die 52 biblischen Szenen in chronologischer Reihenfolge. Ihnen ist ein Blatt mit dem Porträt der früheren schwedischen Königin Christina, die seit 1655 in Rom lebte sowie eine mit einem Porträt und Personifikationen weiblicher Tugenden geschmückte Würdigung Raffaels vorangestellt.
