It is a kind of encyclopedia of agricultural knowledge in the form of an almanac based on the French revolutionary calendar, substituting the names of plants and animals for the saints. There are many printings dating from 1795; this is the most complete, and features a charming engraved frontispiece. ***The second work, on fertilization of land, had first appeared in 1773 (69 pp).
