'This edition is limited to 60 copies of which this is No. 19' and flat pencil signed by the artist, Robert Bryden. A very good minus essentially clean, tight copy. Original publisher's burgundy quarter leather over brown buckram cloth boards - with the title in a sunken mount surrounded by gold to the front board. The artist has also flat signed and written to the title page: 'with R Bryden's Compliments 1897.' Upper edge gilt. Numerous plates - line drawings maps etc plus 24 tissue-guarded original etchings - all as called for. Notable rubbing to the leather head and tail of the spine (now dressed) with some rubbing to the peripheries of the leather. All four board corners a little bumped or turned in. Scattered mostly light spotting and scattered light or very light finger soiling. A very good minus tight largely clean copy of a very scarce publication.
