Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - Inspired by apparent contrasts between strategic guidance, current employment practices, and the supporting organizational framework, this work analyzes the extent the United States Navy should allow the principle of dispersion or the principle of concentration to influence its structure and operational practices. The Navy's current operational practices developed over the last two and half centuries. From this history, an operational framework emerged that favors concentration as the normal mode of issuing and deploying naval assets. Today, fiscal constraints and high operational tempo exert pressure on this framework by demanding increased global presence without proportionally increasing the size of the fleet.

This work is a testament to the excitement around the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, even featuring a poem by Alfred Tennyson titled 'To E. Fitzgerald', expressing his appreciation. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with the original pictorial paper wraps. Externally, generally smart with some minor handling marks, a touch of discolouration to the top edge, and some minor nicks to the wraps. Slight rubbing to the cloth's spine as well as bumping to its head and tail and to the extremities. Spine's label has age toning some minor chips. Hinges are a touch strained. Endpapers have some light toning and spotting. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages, barring light toning and some spotting towards the rear of the work. With significant worming to final 22 leaves (beginning pp. 77r) including rear free endpaper, although not impacting the text or grape design. Very Good. Paper wraps and end papers by Blanche McManus; Multiple including S. J. Solomon, R. A. (illustrator). book.
