Condition: Fair. 1887. No Edition Remarks. 482 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards. Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Binding loose. Some marginalia. Boards have heavy shelf wear with bumping and fraying to corners and crushing and fraying to spine ends. Gilt lettering remains bright and clear. Some marks and staining to surfaces. Book has slight forward lean.

Clean pages with noticeable tanning and faint foxing throughout. Tightly bound with mild thumb-marking throughout. Plate to front pastedown. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Heavy tanning to board edges and spine, which has notable crushing and tearing to ends. Mild cocking to spine.

Spine and top of back cover are faded; small ink spots on front and back covers. Priest's name stamps on endpapers and title page. The image on an old prayer card has faded onto page 27. Otherwise, text clean and binding tight. A very scarce study of canonical procedures to be followed by a bishop in the event of serious misconduct by a cleric.
