In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with some rubbing to the gilt detailing on the front board, and some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Brown cloth, spine & upper board titled in gilt, gilt vignette of partridges on upper board. Very good copy. Sound advice on all aspects of shooting, illustrated with very good pencil sketches. Based on a series of articles in "The Field", which, in turn, were loosely based on Sir Ralph Payne-Gallwey's "Letters to young shooters". Although "A very brief perusal of the contents of my book will show that it is in no sense intended to succeed that classic work". The publishers managed to mis-spell both Maurice Tulloch's name (as Tullock) and Payne-Gallwey's (as Payne-Gallway). Not in British Museum General Catalogue of Printed Books, or in Chute's bibliography. .
