About The Book: This book comprises 32 captivating folktales from the Khasi people, an ethnic group residing in Meghalaya, India, and certain regions of Assam and Bangladesh. Within these tales, a wide range of themes is explored, including the origins of natural phenomena like eclipses and lightning, legends like Mount Sophet Bneng, and the enchanting account of how the peacock acquired its splendid feathers.
