Square crown quarto (8.5" x 9.25") has light blue-gray cloth-covered boards intricately decorated with scenes from the stories without, lettered in bright orange & black to front & spine. Though this is an EX-LIB copy, it has minimal markings: 2 school stamps & a call number to base of spine on both book & DJ. The DJ was taped to the book, & has left 4 discolored marks, top & bottom, to exterior boards & inside both covers. The book is in Near Fine condition: exceptionally clean & unmarked with mild tanning to page edges. The old library mylar has been carefully removed & replaced with new & the DJ is in Near Fine condition, with a very shallow crease to lower front cover, slight shadow from an old price sticker at top-outer-right edge of cover illustration, & paper call number to lower spine. Condition is VG-: very clean inside with pages mildly tanned, unmarked except for old gift inscription to ffep & name in big black marker to all outside page edges, along with light soil. Corners crisp, binding strong & straight, hinges secure. The price-clipped DJ is VG+: colorful & bright, with very mild rubbing to extremities; protected by former owner in clear nonreflective mylar cover.
