Sheet Music
"The Lost Chord" is a song composed by Arthur Sullivan in 1877 at the bedside of his brother Fred during Fred's last illness. The lyric was written as a poem by Adelaide Anne Procter called "A Lost Chord", published in 1860 in The English Woman's Journal. The song became particularly associated with American contralto Antoinette Sterling, with Sullivan's mistress Fanny Ronalds, and with British contralto Clara Butt. Enrico Caruso sang it at the Metropolitan Opera House on 29 April 1912 at a benefit concert for families of victims of the Titanic disaster. The Ranch Boys were Jack Ross, Curley Bradley and Shorty Carson. Carson was Ken Carson, now best known for his appearances on 22 Roy Rogers films, and for recording, among others, Song of Nevada, The Yellow Rose of Texas, Utah, Tumbling Tumbleweeds and Cool Water. This is three pages of music plus covers. There is some wear at the edges but condition is excellent. NOTE: I have a lot of sheet music listed here.
