"Being A Most Diverting Miscellany Of Divers Curious And Instructive Items From Magazines, New Sheets Written And Published During The Reigns Of Their Most Excellent Majesties The Four Georges Of Gt Britain And Hanover". Edition and printing not known. In good turquoise cloth boards, gilt titles to spine. The boards are a little loose from the text block and with bleached areas on top and tail edges by the spine. Otherwise the boards are flat and with firm edges. The end papers are fairly clean and with name of previous owner on front free end paper. The tail end of gutter of the front end papers has very small tear. The text block is "profusely and rihly emblellished by rare and satiric engravings from the famous works of Messrs Hogarth, Rowlandson, Gillray, Newton, Cruikshank, etc" and in good condition. The pages are attached quite firmly to the boards and even and not tanned, foxed or marked. Good condition as quite well used. I fair dust jacket covered with removable protective sleeve. The jacket is pictorial with the heads of people of the period around the edges with pale title field in the middle with black titles. The edges have open and closed tears and the spine ends and the front tail edge have missing pieces and the front cover is nearly detached, and held in place by the protective sleeve. Not price clipped.
