Dustjacket has tiny lost pieces, edge wear etc. otherwise clean and attractive. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Book.

First edition, small hardcover (12.5x18.5 mm), has a couple thin cracks starting to binding that remain solid, a slight lean to the binding, mild bowing to the covers, and very slight bumps to spine ends and cover corners, otherwise a solid VG copy in a like unclipped dust jacket, which is faintly sunned, has tiny chips to spine ends and corners, and a touch of rubbing. Jacket is wrapped in a removable Mylar cover.

In very good pictorial yellow paper-covered boards, with repeat of black and white frogs and snakes, white title field and black titles. The boards are tight, flat and clean; spine and edges firm. Very lightly tanned free end papers. The text block is illustrated with 16 pages of colour plates by Paxton Chadwick and there are a few black and white figures. The pages are even, firm and unmarked. No dedications etc. Very good condition. Without jacket.
