The publications details the oppression, violence and mass murder undleashed by the Nazis, and the activities of the Polish resistance movement. There are a number of powerful photographic reproductions of b/w images showing atrocities and persecution, including among the earliest piublished images documenting executions by the Germans. It is one of the number of international publications at the time to publish the text of the "Manifesto to the People's of the World" originally issued by the Movement of the Working Masses of Poland in February 1941, here translated into English. This publication also includes a facimilie reproduction of the original document in Polish. The foreword is by British Labour MP Philip John Noel-Baker (1889 - 1982).
