In this book, Grey Owl, or Archie Belaney, describes the change from the life of a trapper to that of a conservationist. With Anahareo, in Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan, he came to know more of 'the beaver people' than he ever had before, and to act as their protector and friend.
