Er war Scholaster des Stifts Vreden. Nünning legte eine Büchersammlung von 9.000 Titeln an. Diese war als Grundlage für eine Universitätsbibliothek in Münster gedacht und befindet sich heute auf Haus Ruhr. Er verstarb auf Haus Wiekinghoff in Borken-Grütlohn." (Wikipedia) "Johann Heinrich Cohausen (* 1665 in Hildesheim; 13. Juli 1750 in Vreden) war Leibarzt des Bischofs von Münster und medizin-satirischer Schriftsteller. Nach seinem Studium in Frankfurt an der Oder, wo er 1699 die Doktorwürde erhielt, kam er nach Münster wo er Leibarzt von Bischof Franz Arnold und seines Nachfolgers Clemens August wurde. In seinen mehr populär als wissenschaftlichen Schriften setzt er sich mit kuriosen Methoden auseinander. Im Hermippus Redivius mit dem Sunamitismus und der Suche nach lebensverlängernden Elixieren. Im pica nasi mit den Schnupftabak. Er selbst war Anhänger der von Paracelsus begründeten Schule der Iatrochemie und war von Johan Baptista van Helmont beeinflusst. Seiner Vorstellung nach konnten (flüchtiger) Salze die Essenz des Lebens transportieren. Das Werk Lumen Novum Phosphoris accensum war sein wissenschaftlicher Beitrag zur Frage, was Phosphoreszenz sein könnte. Seine Schriften waren ein großer Erfolg und sind z. B. 1743 durch John Campbell (17081775) auch ins englische Übersetzt worden. Am Ende seiner Laufbahn zog sich Cohausen in seine private Praxis in Vreden zurück." (Wikipedia) Salentin Ernst Eugen Cohausen (* 21. Dezember 1703; 21. Mai 1779) kurtrierische Leibarzt und Professor an der Universität zu Trier. Das Buch stammt aus der Bibliothek des Nürnberger Arztes Georg Leonhard Huth und ist auf dem Innendeckel mit dessen Wappenexlibis (Kupferstich) versehen (am oberen linken Eck mit überklebtem anderem Papier, wohl aber entfernbar). Georg Leonhard Huth (1705-1761), der später Arzt und Lehrer am Theatrum anatomicum in Nürnberg wurde und naturkundliche Werke aus dem Englischen, Französischen und Niederländischen ins Deutsche übersetzt hat. Huth schrieb die Texte zu Meyers "Tierbuch" wie auch zu einem der berühmten ornithologischen Tafelwerke der Zeit, der "Sammlung verschiedener ausländischer und seltener Vögel", die nach dem englischen Vogelwerk von George Edwards und Mark Catesby mit wunderschönen kolorierten Kupfertafeln von 1749 bis 1773 von dem Verleger und Kupferstecher Johann Michael Seligmann (1720-1762) in Nürnberg herausgegeben wurde.
