Based on the 1984 novel "The Emerald Illusion," about a German secret agent who faces off with an American spy in a prison in occupied France during World War II. Screenwriter and novelist Ronald Bass would go on to win an Academy Award in 1988 for his screenplay for "Rain Man." Set in Germany, shot on location in France. Green untitled wrappers. Title page present, dated August 24, 1983, with credits for screenwriter and novelist Ronald Bass. 118 leaves, with last page of text numbered 117. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages and wrapper Very Good plus, with dampstaining affecting the front wrapper and top right corner of the title page, bound with two gold brads.
