Viel Wert wird auch auf thermodynamische Grundlagen gelegt, z.B. die verschiedenen Phasengleichgewichte. Praktische Probleme bei der Auslegung von Trennapparaten werden nur ansatzweise diskutiert. Insgesamt ein lesenswertes Buch, das nicht von den Klassikern abgeschrieben ist, und somit eine neue Perspektive auf das komplexe Thema bietet.
