Ce troisième volume des Annales dirigées par Louis Cruls est entièrement consacré aux observations brésiliennes du passage de Vénus de 1882, un événement astronomique majeur pour le calcul de la parallaxe solaire (angle servant à mesurer la distance Terre-Soleil).
