The exhibition contains the works produced between 2004 and 2007 and marks a landing in its path, aimed at the search for that ancestral identity, where the sackcloth becomes macroscopic warp of reading the world and its foundations: we thus witness images which dissolve, become fleshy, coagulate until they become fragments that only the spectator can recompose with the gaze of his own experience. With the painting of Pasquale De Luca the times of vision expand to the maximum until they are zero, reaching the observation of the depth that lies beyond the first floors, beyond the image, beyond the appearance. So the sackcloth: a vibrant soul that, through its own presentation, its full bodied texture that at the same time lets itself be crossed by our gaze, stimulates us to go further, to immerse ourselves in the vital chromatic body that characterizes De Luca's painting . With the determination and stubbornness typical of those who feel they must transmit their feelings, the artist Pasquale De Luca has constantly cultivated and projected his work in a perspective of openness and growth towards new places, towards comparisons with different cultural realities. De Luca is a tribute to his land, Calabria, an ancient territory from which he draws to fullness to create his works.Born in Sersale (Catanzaro) in 1968, graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catanzaro in 1993, he then perfected in 2007 with a second-level specialist degree in Visual Arts and Disciplines for the show, address of sculpture . In 2010 he acquired at the Brera Academy the qualification in Drawing and History of Art for teaching in high school.
