Pictorial black cloth with decorative gilt designs to both boards and gilt titles to spine in good condition with small split to bottom of front side of spine with a few marks and rubbing to tips of boards. Inside all pages with full edge gilt in very good clean condition although the threads that hold the pages are a little slack with some pages coming loose just at the bottom of the pages. Overall a nice copy of this 19th century story, based on a French children's song , about Mother Michel and her cat, Mounmouth, who actually belongs to the Countess de la Grenouillère who has entrusted Mother Michel to look after him.
