Bound in black half Morocco over sand-grained boards, gilt spine. Edges of spine slightly rubbed, corner tips bumped. Edges of pages marbled in sympathy with endpapers. Bound with the half-title. All plates extremely clean save for the frontispiece and engraved title which are moderately foxed. Bookplate of Robert J. The only engraving that doesn t have a duplicate is Capuchin Convent behind the Theatre of Taormina see photo. The engraved plates on the right-hand side of the page are all titled as per the first edition.
