Arzt Berninger ist am Operieren und er macht Visite, als es zu einem schlimmen Einzelfall kommt und sie beraten.Er sass wieder am grossen, uebersichtlichen Schreibtisch und telefonierte mit einer Labormitarbeiterin, die ihm mitteilte, dass bei einem Patient der HB auf einmal gegen Null gesunken war. Berninger fragte das CRP ab und den Gerinnungswert, denn mit dem Entzuendungsmarker und der Gerinnung konnte er internistische Geschehnisse weitgehend ausschliessen. Wenn das Hb gesunken waere, so waere die Blutung naeher beschrieben. Er legte auf, ging auf die Neurologie und informierte seine Assistenzaerzte und die Pflege beim Laufen auf Station. Angekommen standen zwei Pflegekraefte bereit, und von hinten im Gang kam Cecil, die Assistenzaerztin. Als sie ins Zimmer eintraten, sahen sie einen blasen Patienten, der nicht mehr bei Bewusstsein war. Das Reanimationsteam war schon von der Pflege informiert worden, und Berninger legte einen Zugang fuer die Blutkonserven, waehrend eine Pflegekraft mit dem Ambubeutel fuer die Sauerstoffsaettigung sorgte. Regungslos lag er vor Berninger. Keine Bewegung, nur die jetzt am Monitor ausgebende Parameter gaben eine grobe Richtung vor. Berninger entschied, er musste sofort in OP, um die Blutung zu stoppen. Zwischenzeitlich drueckte Cecil auf den Koerper und fuenf Minuten waren bereits um. Herzstaerkende Medikamente wurden durch einen zweiten Zugang an der Huefte gespritzt und nach einem Kampf und Ringen um den Patienten war dieser Kreislaufstabil ohne Bewusstsein. Wieder einmal hatte das Krankenhausteam eine gute Arbeit verrichtet, und Berninger uebernahm die Beatmung, als sie mit dem Patienten auf den Gang fuhren. Jetzt musste nur noch der Aufzug kommen, um sie in den dritten Stock zu fahren. Nach Minuten voller Warten und einer lang gefuehlten Zeiteinheit, erreichten sie den Operationssaal im Ganzen unter zehn Minuten.
