Jahrhundert einen der produktivsten Forschungszweige der deutschen Slavistik eröffnet. Aus diesem Umkreis bringt der Band zwei Studien. Das zweite große Arbeitsgebiet Rammelmeyers war die Dostoevskij-Forschung. Obgleich Rammelmeyer die geplante Dostoevskij-Monographie nicht vollenden konnte, geben die in dem Band versammelten 13 Dostoevskij-Studien Einblick in die philologisch überaus genaue, ideengeschichtlich und komparatistisch bestimmte Sichtweise Rammelmeyers. Weitere Arbeitsgebiete Rammelmeyers, aus denen mehrere Beiträge enthalten sind, waren die deutsch-slavische Wechselseitigkeit, die Themen- und Motivforschung, sowie die orthodoxe Geistigkeit.
