Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Five volumes. All 8vo, all in original wrappers. All are illustrated: "We and the World" by W. L. Jones, "Mrs. Overtheway's Remembrances" by J. A. Fasquier and J. Wolf; "Melchior's Dream" by Gordon Browne; "Six to Sixteen" by Mrs. W. Allington; the title page of "A Great Emergency" says merely "With illustrations." Four of the titles (all but "A Great Emergency") are identified on the title page as "New Edition." Very good to near fine condition throughout. "Six to Sixteen" has a minute chip at the lower right corner of the front wrapper. "A Great Emergency" has a small tear near the spine at the upper left of the front wrapper. In remarkable condition for such fragile books. This set was originally purchased by the former owner from the Victoria Bookshop of New York City, once a leading specialist in children's books. Glassine jackets have been put on all the volumes for protection and ease of handling.
